Tips for a perfect day without lifting a finger.
By Shirin Yadegar

Ever since I became a mother 6 years ago, Mother’s Day has been a pain rather than a pleasure. I need to please my mother, my mother-in-law and the needs of my three children. This year, I have three great options from caterers I frequent who are reliable, delectable and affordable.
If you are a neurotic mother, like myself, trust me and lean on one of these options this year.
Don’t waste your time, money and energy grocery shopping and cooking. It’s your special day so sit back and relax while you are pampered and pleasantly surprised.

Cari In/ Cari Out offers brunch, lunch or dinner delivered to you, your mom, your mother-in-law or anyone who deserves a Mother’s Day Treat. The following is a Sample Brunch:

arugula and gruyere strada
home made granola with vanilla yogurt and berries
baby greens
croissants and strawberry jam

La Provence is one of my favorite local, kid-friendly restaurants located in Brentwood and Beverly Hills. Nothing fancy, just fabulous food in a Perisian setting. They are offering a special Mother’s Day Menu that promises to be excellent as always. They also offer a kids’menu.

Toscanova is for those of you who want a fancier, kid-friendly experience. The pizza is directly out of an Italian wood burning oven. It’s located in the Westfield Mall in Century City so you can catch a movie or do some shopping before or after.
The Mother’s Day Lunch Special is $29, Dinner $34 or you can order from the regular menu. They also offer a kids’ menu.
